Come join the Brickhouse Family and challenge yourself in an intense Boxing workout taught by Coach Rocco. All experience levels are welcomed between the ages of 6 - 12. Bring a pair of gloves and hand wraps in order to participate. If you do not know how to wrap your hands, don’t sweat it! Come to class 10-15 minutes early, Coach will wrap your hands.
The class focuses on aerobics, calisthenics, and plyometrics exercises broken down into rounds. One round equals three minutes. The structure of the class has a 15-minute warm-up, a 40-minute exercise period, and a 5-minute close-out.
The warm-up consists of 3-4 rounds of shadow boxing and jumping rope. The exercise period will vary between working on the heavy bag, agility and speed drills, focus mitt work with the coach, offensive and defensive drills, slip rope drills, and abdominal exercises. These exercises are meant to teach your child basic self-defense and conditioning as a BOXER, meaning with minimal rest, they are to develop and improve the technical aspects of their stance, punches, footwork, agility, and stamina. The close-out consists of a water break and a quick full-body stretch.
